Corcovado

Roanoke

Picture
Roanoke Island was the site of the 16th century Roanoke Colony, the first English colony in the New World.

IWhen Myles Standish and a group of others, including William White finally returned, the colonists had disappeared. The only thing he found was the word "Croatan" nailed to a tree in a lonely field. They became known as "The Lost Colony".

The colonists, Blue Bloods, had been slaughtered by the Silver Bloods- the Croatans.

Shelter Island

Shelter Island is a small isolated island off the coast of Long Island, New York. Its population is minuscule during the summer months- even smaller the rest of the year.

No one ever locked their doors on Shelter Island.  There was no crime.  It was a local market kind of town... all old houses with families that had been there for generations... Aside from the summer people- city folk on vacation.  The winters were brutal; people always threatened to quit (leave) but never did.
